With the support of BRTMI experts, and as a result of their active work in the villages of the Municipality of Vetovo in the last months, members for a new structure were selected to empower representatives of the Roma community and other people living in a similar situation in the Municipality of Vetovo.

By Order No. 704 / 16.12.2016 of the Mayor of Vetovo Municipality, a Public Advisory Council of Roma Affairs was established in the Municipality of Vetovo. The constituent meeting of  PACRA was held on 19.12.2016 in the presence of all its prospective members.

The Council consists of 11 active members of the local community,  NGOs and the local business, with Mr. Ismail Selim, Deputy Mayor, as Chairman. During the constituent assembly, the members of the PAC unanimously elected Mr. Ivaylo Kadishev, Deputy Mayor of the Municipality, to be Deputy Chairman of the Board.

The newly established structure is a public, coordinating and advisory body and will support the Mayor of Vetovo Municipality in the development and implementation of the local policy on the integrationand socialization of Roma and otherpeople living in a similar situation.

The PAC on Roma Affairs has been founded within the Rousse Municipality Project under the HEA Program.
