In December 2015, the activity "Counseling parents of Roma and motivating their support for children and students in the process of socialization and educational integration", Priority Line 1"Education" under the project "Integrated approach of Ruse Municipality for integration of Roma and other vulnerable groups in the territory of municipalities in Ruse Region". The project is funded by the Bulgarian-Swiss program to support the social inclusion of Roma and other vulnerable groups, implemented with the financial support of Switzerland under the Swiss contribution to the extended European Union.

The activity is implemented by the Association BRTMI  and provides personalized counseling and motivating the parents of children who do not attend school regularly and are in danger of dropping out of schools in the municipalities, partners of this project.

The team of experts from the Association BRTMI visited the following schools in Ruse: Primary Schools"Angel Kanchev","Aleko Konstantinov", "Bratya Miladinovi", "Nikola Obretenov, "Nikola Vaptsarov", Ivanovo, "St. St. Cyril and Methodius", Senovo and Secondary Schools "Vasil Levski", Vetovo and "St. Kliment Ohridski", Borovo. The project and the current activities were presented to the school principals and teachers. During the meetings,a schedule for counseling students’ parents for the 2015/16 school year was prepared.The first individual counseling of parents with psychologist and social pedagogue were held in early January 2016.
