On 8 April, we celebrate the International Roma Day. On this occasion, the children from Group 3 of Pinocchio Kindergarten in Ruse organized a children's party to celebrate the holiday within the Project BG05M2OP001-3.001-0028 "Early Socialization through Successful Educational Integration", funded by OP "Science and Education for Intelligent Growth" 2014-2020. Beneficiary of the project is the Bulgarian-Romanian Trans-Border Mediation Institute and Pinocchio Kindergarten is one of the partners in the implementation of the project.
The holiday is a part of Activity 5 "Promoting the integration process through creativity, joint cognitive activities and expressions for preserving the cultural identity of children from different ethnic groups".
The children, educators and invited actors presented, in a fascinating and interesting way, the history of the Roma people, the anthem, the flag and the traditional Roma crafts, songs and dances. In high mood, the children made their contribution to the holiday celebrations, learned new things, and got the guests' applauses for their artistic and diligent work. Once again, they showed curiosity and tolerance towards foreign culture, traditions and customs and charged everyone with very positive emotions.
The holiday ended with presents and lots of photos of the children who posed in their colorful costumes.
