Inter-institutional workshops, a part of the campaign "The Truth about Human Trafficking", were carried out by the experts of Association BRTMI  within the project “Integrated approach of Ruse Municipality for integration of Roma and other vulnerable groups in the territory of municipalities in Ruse Region", funded by the HEA Program.

On 25.11.2016, the first meeting took place in the IskraCommunity Center, Borovo, bringing together professionals from Borovo and Byala municipalities working in the social, health and educational spheres as well as representatives of the Red Cross Youth Organization.

On December 1, 2016, the second of a series of workshops took place at the Municipality of Ivanovo, during which representatives of the Police, the Municipality, Educational and Social institutions took part. Issues of crime prevention and early awareness of the most vulnerable groups on the risk of sexual and labor exploitation were discussed.

The workshop in Ruse,kindly hosted by LCCHT, Ruse on 09.12.2016, brought together representatives of the Municipality of Ruse, the Prosecution, the Court, the school principals we’d been workingwith , representatives of NGOs and experts. The meeting summarized the results achieved during the campaign "The Truth about Human Trafficking" . The professionals shared their views on such initiativesinthe future.

The issue of trafficking in human beings and crime prevention is important for the institutions and citizens in the municipalities where we run campaigns and meetings. Our experts continue work for raising theawareness and sensitivity towardsthis serious problem.
