During the last week Association BRTMI experts gave a strong start of the third information campaign “Truth about human trafficking”. The campaign is a part of our activities in the project of Ruse Municipality under the HEA Programme.
The campaigns were opened with 2 public outdoor events on occasion of October 18th – European day against human trafficking – in the campus of Secondary school “Vasil Levski” from 12:00 to 14:00 о`clock and in the campus of Primary school “Aleko Konstantinov” from 12:30 to13:30.
On October 21st from 10:00 to 12:00 o`clock event was held in the village of Ivanovo on the square between the Library/Cultural club and the building of Ivanovo Municipality. On October 26th similar event will be held in Borovo.
During campaigns preparation and conducting the events we were supported by our volunteers – students from Secondary school ‘’Vasil Levski’’ in Ruse and members of “Young educator/social educator” Club of Ruse University ‘’Angel Kanchev’’.
We present our thanks to the school management of Secondary school “Vasil Levski” and Primary school “Aleko Konstantinov” for assistance, as well as Ivanovo Municipality, Library “Hristo Botev” and students from Primary school “Nikola Y. Vaptsarov” for their support and active participation.
During of public event were distributed brochures and posters, handmade cards and hearts with messages of 18 October (made by our volunteers) and blue balloons. On a special hand made cardboards with blue hearts children and citizens left messages expressing their position against human trafficking.
Campaign provoke the interest of the media and several televisions shoot reportage.
We participated in the morning block of TV BNT 2 on 18.10.2016 and transmission of the Darik radio, Ruse on 20.10.2016.
