On June 25, 2014 in Ruse was held a symposium “Without borders- support of youth employment”, organized by Association “Bulgarian-Romanian Trans-border Meditation Institute” and Ruse Regional Employment Service- part of National Employment Agency, within the project “Without borders in employment”.
The symposium was a question of interest not only to the institutions and organizations directly involved in providing services to unemployed persons, to employers and representatives of the NGO sector, but also to unemployed young people, registered in Ruse Labour Office and involved in the social experiment, conducted within project “Without borders in employment”.
A welcome address to all guests of the symposium was given by Mr. Baki Solak, Director of Ruse Labour Office-Ruse, Ms. Mariela Licheva, Director of Directorate “Healthcare and Social Affairs”, Ruse Municipality, and Ivaylo Ivanov, Manager of the project and Association BRTMI- Beneficiary of the project.
According to the program, Ms. Yuliya Sybeva- Expert of Ruse Labour Office, introduced programs and measures related to the implementation of the National Plan for European Youth Guarantee. She told about the social experiment which is currently running at Ruse Labour Office.
Ms. Marieta Yankova, psychologist in Ruse Labour Office introduced the auditory with the methods for psychological support of young people up to 29 years of age when they enter the labour market.
Asst. Prof. Danieal Jordanova from Ruse University “Angel Kanchev” introduced innovative practices of faculty “Business and Management” for stimulating youth employment.
The word was given to the employers and on their behalf a statement made Ms. Vyara Nikolova- Manager of Nik Travel Ltd. who presented different perspective on youth employment by giving concrete examples and highly assessing its cooperation with the Ruse Labour Office’s programs and measures for employment.
The symposium concluded with a summarizing discussion during which several comments were made by Prof. Mariya Andreeva, Expert of the project and professor in RU “Angel Kanchev”; Ms. Tatyana Pashinova from Ruse Regional Employment Service; Ms. Miroslava Rudolf- Director of Sofia Regional Employment Service; Asst. Prof. Daniela Jordanova; Aleksandar Todorov from Association BRTMI.
The attending guests highly rated the relevance of the issue of stimulating youth employment as well as the achieved by the project till this moment results. During the symposium were emerged new partnerships as Association BRTMI was invited by the Career Center of RU “Angel Kanchev” to build within its structure an Assessment Center for Evaluating Potential.
