The NGO cluster with an idea for holding a competition for the best graffiti artists

On 30.07.2014, the association “Youth Voice”- branch Ruse, hosted the meeting of active NGOs in Ruse, united in the first ever NGO cluster. As part of the cluster, a representative of Association BRTMI took part, as well. During the meeting a lot of initiatives were discussed as the participants agreed that some of them could be successful implemented on the territory of Ruse and could contribute to its development.

One of the main discussed issues was the one related to the development of the web site “Good news”. Soon, on the web site would be available information about recent successful initiatives implemented by the organizations members of the cluster.

Also, the audience discussed the activities that would be implemented within the campaign “No to Vandalism”, which main objective is to limit the vandal acts of young people in Ruse. The focus of the campaign will be on the ugly graffiti writings that we see so often on the wall of city’s buildings, some of which with historical value for the local citizens. One of the activities during the campaign is envisaged to be cleaning of a building from graffiti writings. But the most interesting part is reserved for the young people, interested in that kind of street art. Those young people will be given the opportunity to paint objects from the urban environment and to show to the citizens the beauty of this type of culture. The event will take the form of a race with prizes for the best. Still there is no date for this event but most probably it will happen in the fall of this year. Everyone who is interested could find information about the progress of this initiative on the Facebook page of Association BRTMI.
