We expanded the scope of services of the Parent Reception Office within the Ruse Municipality Project under the HEA Program

At the beginning of March 2017, BRTMI expanded the scope of Activity "Consulting Parents" under the project "Integrated Approach of the Municipality of Ruse for Integration of Roma and Other Vulnerable Groups on the Territory of Municipalities in Ruse Region". The activity is part of BRTMI’s commitments as a partner of the Municipality of Ruse within the framework of the HEA Program.

During our work in the past year, our experts have found that it would be of great benefit to provide resources and support not only for parents but also for their children and for school pedagogical teams in order to achieve lasting effects and prevent children at risk from dropping out of the education system. Therefore, at the beginning of the year we submitted a motivated request to the Beneficiary, Ruse Municipality, and to the HEA Program Management Unit to let us include one more school – P.R. Slaveykov Primary School, Obretenik, Borovo Municipality, and to extend the scope of intervention so as to provide comprehensive expert support to parents from vulnerable groups, pupils and educators.

Each month, on schedule, two psychologists, a parent counseling expert and a social pedagogue provide individual and group consultations to 9 schools involved in the project, provide methodological and expert support to school leaders and educators to prevent dropping out of the educational environment and motivate parents to support their children in building a propper vision for their successful social integration.
